Follow this holiday viewing guide and get caught up on your new favorite show.

Go on an Epic Journey – Season 3 of “Manufacturing Explorers,” brought to you by Mazak, is back for its final season with father-son duo Travis and Max Egan. With an eye toward the future of EVs, the Egans visit Tier I Automotive Supplier Magna, and then 6K Energy, operating the world’s only sustainable production for battery materials. They also take a personal look at how EVs are made and all the unique parts (including chips and battery packs) that make them go, with the ‘Teardown Titan’, Sandy Munro of Munro & Associates Inc..

Get Smart(er) – Do you have 10 minutes to build a smarter shop? That’s the premise behind Season 2 of “Smart(er) Shop,” brought to you by Autodesk. The show offers practical digital solutions to chronic analogue shop problems. This season, hosts AMT’s Ryan Kelly and Autodesk’s Adam Allard focus on cybersecurity solutions that are affordable and simple to implement. To find solutions to common security and automation challenges, “Smart(er) Shop” visited MxD, an advanced manufacturing institute; the Autodesk Technology Center in San Francisco; and Rapid Robotics to learn about robots-as-a-service.

Road Trip Like a Pro  – AMT’s tech guru, Stephen LaMarca, is on the road again in Season 3 of “Road Trippin’ with Steve.” Join Steve and the crew as they travel to Motor City to explore automotive manufacturing’s roots and the world of robotics. Take in the impressive automation and inspiring teamwork that goes into making world-class vehicles as Steve takes in his first visit to an automotive manufacturing plant, Stellantis. Get insights from LIFT, the advanced manufacturing institute focused on technology and talent development for U.S. manufacturing. Steve’s final stop this season is at FANUC, where he is mesmerized by all things robots — big robots, small robots, new robots, bigger robots, cutting-edge robots, and the biggest robots.

Meet a Legend or Two  – The manufacturing industry is ripe with leaders and legends. “Profiles in Manufacturing” is a documentary-style series that tells their stories. In Season 3, meet Drew Crowe, a manufacturing evangelist who was saved by the industry and is now spreading the word about the great jobs and promising careers in the field as founder of the New American Manufacturing Renaissance (NAMR). Be inspired by the story of Courtney Silver, the president and owner of Ketchie Inc., who was helping her ailing husband when she discovered a passion for machining and a desire to grow the family business. Get to know Richard (Rick) Kline Sr., the visionary leader of Gardner Business Media, a preeminent publisher of manufacturing technology content. As CEO of Gardner, he is committed to hard work, smart hires, and long-lasting legacies.

Take an Adventure – The newest IMTS+ mini-series takes viewers to Europe. “Adventures With:” follows AMT executives and industry leaders as they travel to three international trade shows to compare them to IMTS, meet with AMT members exhibiting internationally, and explore familiar hot topics — from the pressing need for skilled workers to the latest manufacturing technology.

The series kicks off in Hannover, Germany, at EMO 2023 — often considered the IMTS of Europe — showcasing solutions for factory productivity and connectivity. Hosts are Nicole Wolter, president and CEO of HM Manufacturing and chairperson of the Technology and Machining Association, visiting EMO for the first time; Travis Egan, AMT’s chief revenue officer; and Peter Eelman, AMT’s chief experience officer. EMO featured 1,850 exhibitors and approximately 92,000 visitors.

In the second series, Egan joins Bonnie Gurney, AMT vice president – strategic content and partnerships, and Debbie Holton, principal at Converge Consulting, for a visit to Formnext 2023, the largest additive manufacturing show in the world with more than 840 exhibitors and nearly 33,000 visitors.

The season concludes with Gurney, joined by AMT President Doug Woods and Michelle Edmonson, AMT vice president – exhibitions, exploring SPS – Smart Production Solutions, in Nuremburg, Germany. With 1,200 exhibitors and approximately 50,000 visitors, SPS represents the complete spectrum of smart and digital automation – from simple sensors to intelligent solutions.
