By the Numbers

Two Be or Not Two Be?

Through the first two months of 2025, machinery orders measured by the U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders Report have shown signs of a market recovery after two years of decline. Compared to the first two months of 2024, order value is up 8.8%, and the number of units ordered is up nearly 10%. Compared to the average January-February, 2025 order values are up about 20%, but units are down 11.2%.
