Harry Moser founded the Reshoring Initiative with the goal of bringing 5 million manufacturing jobs back to the United States. In 1985, he began serving as president of high-end machine tool supplier GF AgieCharmilles, retiring on Dec. 31, 2010, as chairman emeritus. Due largely to the success of the Reshoring Initiative, Harry was inducted into the IndustryWeek Manufacturing Hall of Fame in 2010 and AME’s Hall of Fame in 2021. He was named Quality Magazine’s 2012 Quality Professional of the Year and FAB Shop Magazine’s Manufacturing Person of the Year.
Each award recipient is honored at AMT’s annual meeting. Inviting up-and-coming team members along to MFG Meetings helps bring future leaders into the fold and gives them skills they can only learn from seasoned professionals.
